The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) has announced that Construction Dynamics Group (CDG) is the recipient of its 2003 Construction Management Project Achievement Award. CDG has won more top CMAA awards than any other firm. CDG received the top award in the category of Public Sector, less than $10 Million, for its work on the Crystal Spring WTP for the City of Roanoke, Virginia. The award was presented at CMAA’s annual awards dinner held in Washington DC.

“We are very proud of all the work that went into making Crystal Spring Filtration Plant a world-class facility,” said McEvoy. Housing the largest microfiltration system in Virginia, the plant was built in record time and under budget to filter and supply Roanoke’s water customers with much-needed water during the 2002 drought. Completed in November 2002, the plant supplies the city with an average of 3.5 million gallons of water per day.

Crystal Spring Filtration Plant was also selected as a 2003 Project of the Year by the American Public Works Association. The plant was the winning project of the year in the category of environmental projects between $2 and $10 million. The award was presented at the 2003 International Public Works Congress and Exposition in San Diego on August 25.
