Cost and Budget Control
 
 
CDG's Cost Control Program provides Owners with projects that meet specified quality, budget and timeframes. CDG assembles a cost control team made up of the various disciplines (architectural, civil/process, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to provide cost and design input to Owners and design consultants. CDG reviews and evaluates the program and master plan documents, project summary and preliminary project schedules. From this review and evaluation, CDG develops a TARGET COST ESTIMATE/BUDGET that identifies all major budget components (by building facility/area in CSI format) and can be used as the cost comparison basis for the project duration. The estimates and schedules will be coordinated with purchasing to ensure funding compatibility. Estimates and updates are prepared at the following phases:
