Value Engineering
CDG, in conjunction with our affiliate, Lewis & Zimmerman Associates, Inc.,
has provided value engineering for more than 1600 projects, ranging in size
from $1 million to more than $1 billion in construction cost. CDG and LZA
staff have led studies on water and wastewater projects, buildings such
as schools and libraries, hospitals, industrial plants, electrical power
generation, transit and transportation-related projects, and other capital
improvement projects. CDG's project team is experienced not only in VE techniques,
but also in facility design, construction, and operation. In each VE study,
the project team establishes a close relationship with the Owner and the
design engineer to ensure that the information relating to the project is
correct and appropriate and that the results of the study are in the Owner's
best interests. CDG's value-engineering services include life-cycle costing,
energy-management modeling, cost estimating, and cost control. An Owner
can expect implementable savings that will, at the same time, enhance the
overall value of a project.
